its a 89 crx si 300k on it. i recently replaced the battery, alternator, dizzy rotor cap and ignitor. also reheated the solder on the main relay.

im getting symptoms af a bad alternator and/or?. lights are dim until you rev ect.
i do have subs but i dont think they are part of the problem casue it still happened
when i took them out.

when i use anything electtrical the car bogs to about 100 to 200 rpm, this happens when i open close my sunroof. turn on lights. or turn on radio. you can actually watch the revs drop when a bass note hits on the radio(and the volume is low)..
this problem is driving me crazy.

also sometimes after driving the car wont start up again. it will crank and fire but then die right out, unless i hold the gas for a minute or two. help me before i lose my mind!!

When was the last time the alternator was changed? It might need replacing.

check your connections on the alterator/battery if they are loose or poor conection (esp ground) it will cause that problem

i changed it 3 times in the last 2 months

clean up your grounds. check the wire going the the alternator (the big white one that has the circle clip where the nut goes on top)... it'll go to the fusebox on passenger side shock tower.

Check your battery wires ground and positive.

checked it.car still acting up. also it wont start if ive been driving a while and shut it off. but it always start form cold

try to see if the car would run without the battery. Let it just run on the alternator and see if it dies. If it doesnt the battery is bad and it might be taking up the alternators charge. Clean all your grounds.

brand new battery and alternator!!!!! lol

again, try to see if the car could run just on the alternator. Simply start up the car and unplug the positive terminal from the battery.
