Icon6 heat Wont get HOT!

YES i have searched and read everything you can possible read. but for some reason my heat will not get Hot. the temperature gauge will read normal and i can even feel the lines on the back of the heater core from inside the car and they are hot.

but i can turn on the blower to high (4) and it will blow almost hot air for about 30 seconds, then go Luke warm. then i turn it off for 30 seconds and back on and just repeat the same thing over and over....

i have read other threads, on which way all the valves should be. but could someone please help me go over this again!

i have heard this could be a result of a failing head gasket or you need to flush and refill your coolant

Possibly a blocked heater core causing poor flow of hot coolant; not enough hot water flowing through to replace the heat being removed by the fan.

Only 2 hoses go from the back of the engine through the firewall, one goes through a valve first. They are located in the middle of the car by the throttlebody.

Put a cooling system flush through the car first and see if that helps and when you are flushing everything out take both of the heater hoses offand use a garden hose and put it in both of the heater core pipes to flush it out well.

i know there is only two hoses for it, but just want to make sure they are going to the right places on the back of the block.
_______

before i put the new heater core in i used my pressure washer to clean it, and the water flow is GREAT!

One from valva goes to the water outlet spout on the head under the dizzy area and the other one goes to the spout on the thermostat housing.

That could be restricting the flow of your coolant and causing your problem.
