H22 crx axle issue
Hay fellas, I've got a 91 crx with an h22a swap. I've used all innovative mounts, traction bar, axles and so on but the drivers side axle appears to be too long! Has anyone experienced this? I am almost positive that I have the h23 intermediate shaft. The passenger side went in with no issues at all. But the driver side is another story. Any info would be appreciated. Especially things like sizes of the intermediate shafts from preludes and accords. Thanks!

Re: H22 crx axle issue
i have an 91 hatch with a h22 motor and h23 tranny using h22 mid- shaft. i have the hasport h-series axles and everything fits great... my friend has the same swap but hes using an h22 tranny. he bought h axles for a 92-up hatch which fit.. but they were just a 1/2" to long. everything bolted back up , but when he turned the steering wheel left or right, the motor moved and put everything in a bind. so u might wanna make sure the axles are for the right year crx you have. also i think a 88 -89 acura integra drivers side axle will work too. check out explicitspeedperformance.com that guy knows his ****!!

Re: H22 crx axle issue
I have an 88 CRX with an H22A4 and Hseries trans. 93 accord midshaft and whatever axle that was in the car when i traded for it. I had to replace the axle and since i had an esp mount kit i purchased a 88 integra axle. everything bolted up fine but i had major axle bind. Go to find out whoever originally did the swap was off a bit with the welded mount. Fix this problem and some of the bind went away but not fully. we ended up having to egg out the holes on the drivers side mount and prying the motor towards the passenger side. this fixed the problem, the car handles and accels better now and feels a lot stiffer
