Default going to state referee , what catalytic converter??

Going to the state referee_, which catalytic converter [do I need]??

So I have my appointment this upcoming Friday and I have a question regarding the catalytic converter_. _The car is an 89 civic dx and I'm going to get it bar'd with a B16 as if it were going to be a 94 civic del sol_"B16". _Which catalytic converter do I go with?? _I have a DC header with a 2.25 collector and 2.5 apex piping. _What car do I get the catalytic converter off of to pass smog with no problems?? _I'm going to have flanges put on the catalytic converter so I can just bolt on my test pipe when necessary. _Help is appreciated thnx.

EDIT: Grammer owened me

Holy sh*t. I'm really trying to ignore the grammatical errors contained within your post and answer your question.

Any cat will work. Just buy a universal CATALYTIC converter and do exactly what you said, weld on flanges. I passed the ref with a tiny high flow CATALYTIC converter and I was fine.

Make sure you have all of your vacuum lines hooked up correctly and your wiring is legit as well. Refs aren't stupid, contrary to popular belief.

Oh, and don't forget that CATALYTIC converter.

This was done at the ref? If it was, he didn't tell you what to do to make it run cleaner?

x2. The refs are always SUPER helpful in telling you what to do to fix your issues and how to be better prepared. What did the ref say? What is your timing at?

It when you do a motor swap and go to a state referee to make it street legal to drive. So dont have to worry about getting pulled over and car taken. Which happens in Cali. Isnt all 50 states similar?

The ref that i went to didn't tell me how to fix it. All he said was take it to a smog repair shop & then come back.

wtf? that doesn't sound right, a regular smog station won't even touch your car until you have the BAR label on there...

Yeah a smog station wont touch my car because its not bar'd by a ref yet. The ref is going to smog it and go throught everything, he told me will take about 1 hour.

Not here in Arizona. I think the only states that have similar requirements are the states which follow CA/CARB smog laws, the only one I can recall off the top of my head is New York, but I know for a fact there are 3 or 4 more.
