Default Gas smell in hard cornering and braking....

In my 88 dx I have noticed that when my tank is at 1/2 full or less that when I take a hard corner or brake very quickly that there is a strong gas smell coming from the rear of the car inside. ITs not the gas cap...and no gas leaks under the car when parked...what should I check?

I cannot explain why you smell gas, but from my only personal experience of smelling gas in the cabin of my '90 DX, it turned out the fuel injectors were clogged. Not very safe and may want to look into as soon as you can.

Maybe you should check to see if one of your rear tire's is rubbing.
