Gas Guage Needle Stuck??
I have an 88 hatch, and my gas guage needle is stuck, which means the gas "reader" isnt working i would think, does anybody know how to fix it? (the needle is at maximum full)
And i think the seal is leaking on the tank, so is there anythging i can do to seal it up? thanx for ur help

pull ur back seat out, pull off the fuel tank cover, after u take the little cover off u should see the top sending unit, pull out the bolts that hold the sending unit in the tank and see if the float can move up and down, if it moves up and down, hold the float up and see if ur gauge moves to full, if it does ur float may be bad, if not than u got other issues

I did that later today and when i unplugged the harness that has like two wires on it, the guage went back down to empty and when i plugged it back in it slowly rose to above full and then i tried another harness thats on top of the other one and it did the same thing, slowly fell and slowly rose... im thinking a ground or somethin, but the one under the seat is grounded, is there another one that i dont know about?
