New to forum, have a few questions
First i'd like to introduce myself. I work as a mechanic full time and have been around cars my whole life. I am a DSM guy to the end, but I respect all types of cars as its not the car to dislike, but the driver. I own a 97 eagle talon and it is my baby. Before I spun a rod bearing I dynoed 512 hp 396 ft lbs, and ran a 11.36 @ 138 all on the stock motor with a GT35R, EMS, and supporting boltons. It now sits in my garage waiting for the motor I am building. In the mean time, I picked up a 94 jeep cherokee lifted on 35's and a 91 honda CRX.
So my question is:
The crx I just bought has a D15B (no number after, just D15B) vtec motor in it. P08-1 9|1 cylinder head, a modified distributor (not sure what its from), and dual point fuel injection system.
I dont know exactly what was done to it, but I was told by the guy i bought it from that it has a del sol motor in it. He is not sure tho. He didn't do any work to it, and I doubt the guy he bought it from did either. I want some opinions of what I have. My thought is I have a JDM 1.5 vtec engine but the stock fuel system from a DX.
Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks

Re: New to forum, have a few questions
Ya your motor is a jdm motor. It came in a 96-97 civic del sol in Japan. Post a pic of it. The valve cover say vtec or no? If it does then the ppl who put the motor together were prolly lazy and didn't do the wiring for mpfi. But there were dual carbed d15b as well. But you could have a Jdm block with a Usdm head too

Here are pics of the codes.
I plan on doing a mpfi conversion. That being said, if anyone can help me out with the parts for it let me know. I need all of em, the ecu, intake, injectors, and harness. I will be going turbo as well in the near future, and I want to use hondata since I am very familiar with it.

There are not any significant differences between them to tell them apart. I think, and i say i think, you may be able to look up camshaft specs and see if any one of those heads runs a larger or smaller cam. other than that, no way to tell.
