Ground control question: 92_00 on crx?
Found a good deal on new GC's for 92-00 civic/del sol (he said would they fit 94-00 integras as well) and was wondering if they would work on my crx. Or if they need a little work what would that be? if i need some other parts that doesnt come with his kit, where would i get them? And would the ones i found have to be koni specific as well since thats what id be putting them on?
Thanks!
Thanks!

like i said if it's just the sleeve/spring it's universal, and will fit. even on your koni's.
only thing to consider is that since you have koni's, it's suggested that you get the sleeves that are meant for koni's, or just get the adapter.

oh ok.. i thought so lol i was like what?
I found a similar thread but never found a real answer. So if i slide them onto koni shocks they wont wobble? Would i need different sleeves or would i need sleeves at all or just slide them on?

you can just slide them on to the perch's of your koni's, but like stated, it's not suggested. koni does sell adapter to fit using those sleeves. will it wobble, not 100% sure if it will or won't, with the FULL weight of the car on it, but doubt that it will wobble. if by chance you where to get some air while driving, that would be different.
fyi, i have skunk2 coilover sleeves/koni sports. i just used the rubber O-rings and that seems to help. the sleeves sit on the perch. been like that for two years, and it's riding fine.

Ok cool.. Well if his are spicifically for koni then i might not need anything? Or is the crx koni style have extra hardware. I guess what im asking is, is there a difference between 92-00 koni style ground controls and 88_91 koni style groumd control kits (adapter and parts wise not coil/sleeve wise). Sorry for all these questions just want to be sure i can use them. If so ill buy them.

because of koni's unique circlip thingy, its really not suggested you use regular GC sleeves with koni's.
there have been failures and issues reported. ymmv if and when failure MIGHT occur.

And the sleeves are what you slide on the strut before you slide the coilover on? And what if his coilovers are koni specific? Are they different than crx koni specific kit? Or would i be good to go

One thing I noticed that nobody mentioned here, spring rate. If you found this deal from a private seller (Craigslist, eBay, etc.), it's doubtful that the owner knows what the spring rates are. Yes, they will fit, but how will they ride is the question. To be honest, you're probably better off picking up a new set with the spring rate you want and the proper sleeves for your Koni's.

Well i looked up the spring numbers and they are the normal shelf rates. 340 front 250 rear. Im just more concerned on how i could get them to fit rather than how they ride and rate. But i might just try to sell these and buy the crx koni kit.

I know, you can do the kit thats custom spring rates or the one thats standard rates. Im not that picky, i dont want to spend that much more for picking rates that i dont evne know much about so ya lol im not doing anything special just driving it on the road
