I got a JDM 4-2-1 Header when I bought my Engine. The header was on the engine and he grabbed the Downpipe from somewhere else.

Is there a gasket that goes between the header and the downpipe? When I seafoamed my car, it was clear i had an exhaust leak there.

yep there sure is, its called the donut gasket if i remember correctly. its a lil metal oval shaped gasket that fits right between the header and downpipe to prevent the leak you are having. so get that new, its only 8 bucks or less for the best one they have at advance and oreillys. good luck

Is it a general gasket or is it model specific?

Cause if it is an oval, i dont think it will work. My header is 4-2-1. So it has two holes where the downpipe meets the header.

go to autozone or kragens they should have it. the one for a d16a6 should fit. and it's not a donut gasket. not sure what it's called, but they should have it.

its called the donut gasket, not a donut gasket...donut gasket refers to the gasket that goes between the header and downpipe on all cars and trucks, everu vehicle has them. some have one pipe going into one, some has one going into 2, some have 2 going into 2. just take your downpipe with you and make sure u get the one to match it.

Is there any car where the gasket matches. I can just see it...walk into auto zone and they will ask what car it is off of....and if i don't have an answer, they will say no luck.

just use copper gasket maker. i used this for the seal between my header and downpipe on my dohc zc. All you do i make a film of it around the two holes and tighten your three bolts accordingly.
