dilemma..d16y8 or zc dohc into 4 door ed3
members..
help me with this dilemma..
i have an ed3 4 door without engine in the bay..
and i have with me zc dohc complete with wiring..
but later one of my friend offer me to put a d16y8 vtec engine which he have the full wiring including the gas tank.
he said that d16y8 have a better performance than zc dohc, especially top speed..is that true?to your opinion which is better?zc dohc or d16y8,in respect of PERFORMANCE & RELIABILITY..?

Forget top speed. I would go with the D16Y8 due to available parts. I've heard the DOHC ZC are getting hard to come by. Might as well sell it to a fanboy and go with the Y8.
I think the Y8 beats the ZC in both reliability (easy to find parts) and performance (VTEC?).

i heard that a d16y8 with light tune up will able to get 215kph..but zc dohc took ages to get 180kph..
i think also about the available parts for d16y8 is still available rather than zc dohc(old engine),rite?
but i will face difficulties in swapping the OBD2(p2p ecu) engine and wiring into the ed3 body..zc dohc is 0BDO(PG7)
so i guess just go with d16y8?
