Default Did search, but not enough info. How do you program chip for ecu?

I read through any searches I could find. I am planning to change up a number of things on my car. I am looking at getting a wide band O2 and I would like to modify my ECU program. I am currently running a PR3 OBD0 ECU.

-Where do you buy the prom burner? I have seen some for sale on here. If you wanted to pic up a new one where do you get it?
-Do you have to break the solder on the ECU and remove the old chip?
-Can you flash a chip more than once or do you have to do a new one each time?
-What software do you use?
-If you have a set of mods, can you get a program online from someone else with similar mods to start the tuning from?

I know this is a lot of questions, I appriciate any help on this subject.

Theres a ton of info on pgmfi.org about honda ECU chipping.
I'll see what I can answer for you here.

-You remove the old chip, and solder in a socket. This way you can pop new chips in and out all day and not have to do any more soldering.

-Some chips are only flash-able once, but there are re-writeable (re-flashable?) ones too that you can erase and burn a new set of maps on as well.

-Theres a few programs for obd0, turboedit is one of them, and i believe Crome does obd0 as well as obd1.

Hopefully that input helps a bit. I'm still new to it myself, but I'm learning from a friend of mine who is pretty involved in the chip burning/ecu hacking. Good luck!

Thanks, I am just starting to touch the tip of the iceburg on this.
I currently do not know anyone that is doing this type of tuning.
I do have a friend that has the programmable AEM ecu, but I dont have a couple grand laying around to get that type of system.
