d15b2 starting problems...!!!
Well i've been having a off and on problem with my bucket starting and acting funny in many different ways...The obvious is that im still running a stock d15b2 motor with no aftermarket alterations motorwise and currently still dpfi.
Some days it starts fine and somedays it doesn't want to start at all...I have changed the obvious main relay, cap and rotor, spark plugs, both dpfi fuel injectors and fuel filter but i still can't shake that boggy shaking on start up and code 16 pop up whenever it wants to come up.
Perfect examples:
*most days it starts and bogs for a few seconds and then goes back to normal after i let it warm up.
*just today i tried about 30 times to start it up and it would crank right away like if it was going to turn on and just shut off right away...i reset the ecu from the code 16 and switched around the main relay and it started up when it wanted to.
*also when it doesn't want to turn on or after it shuts off right away on startup i can hear the starter like make a loud noise like if it wants to give out.
I have no CEL problems staying on and my ecu will trip a code 16 whenever it wants and i just reset the ecu to take the code away...I have no abnormal idling problems and sometimes when it doesn't want to start it smells like gas...Car doesn't shut off while driving at all and it has a brand new catalytic converter as well.
Im leaning towards a bad dizzy but any other suggestions will be appreciated

Are you messing with me ChOr!Zo?
Yes, it is held on by 2 screws that can be seen on the outside of the distributor. There are 4 wires on it. You obviously have to take off the Cap to see it. After you pull it out it sits on the heat sink/bracket held on by 2 more screws. These can be tested; there are multiple sides to these. They do have a high and a low RPM switch and can fail separately.

Yes that is the part. If you can get one cheap enough, or go to the junk yard. Around me there are practically no Honda's in the junk yards. I know out by you they are probably a dime a dozen.
