Re: D15B need help
apparently you have no idea how to rebuild an engine if you think the cylinder walls have to do with bearing sizes. look go to autozone or whateverthehell and get some plastigauge...you need to do this to measure the oil tolerances!! GOOGLE orrrr let someone else rebuild it??

Re: D15B need help
the kit is for my D15B so why do it?? if they are telling me the size of the pistons and the over size why measure it??? just sounds retarded to me to do it.

Re: D15B need help
do you have down syndrome or something?? the pistons have jack $hit to do with what bearing size you use. you clearly have no business putting an engine together you use a feeler gauge to measure the tolerances of the compression and oil control rings. plastigauge is used on the bearings, which you seem to be unaware, are located beneath the cylinder walls. they surround that heavy metal spinning lop-sided lookin thing.

Re: D15B need help
I got a d16a non vtec block, jdm version.im going to put a d15b head on it. Would it put oout more hp or would I be better off keeping the engine stock. as in d16a block with d16a non v head

Re: D15B need help
What's JDM about a non vtec SOHC d16? Keep it stock, you're not going to get any more power out of putting a head with a smaller cam in it.

Re: D15B need help
Aren't they the same casting? Just different cams and valves/valve springs?
I think you'll notice more difference just by using whatever engine/head combination is in the best condition.
