Default CRX Wiper Switch is posessed

When I got my '89 CRX the first setting on the windshield wiper switch would only have the wipers wipe once. Then one day I left it in that switch position and after about 10 minutes the wipers would occasionally come on whenever they wanted to. So I tried that again when it was raining and it started working well: wipe--- pause--- wipe--- pause, like it is suppose ot work. Now yesterday and this morning using that setting the pause is a lot shorter. What's up? Anyone else have this experience?

I wish my CRX had an adjustment on the length of pause between windshield wipes, did the newer models have this feature?

sounds like a faulty wiper switch, go buy a new one or take it apart and clean it
