cowl removal and question
how do you remove the cowl on a 91 crx si? ive already removed the wiper arms and all the screws on the top. now there are those plug looking thinks that hold the bottom of the cowl and that rubber stripping down. how do i remove those with out breaking them? i already broke one.
also what does the rubber strip even do?
does anyone know the part number for the plastic part that the screws screw into on the top part of the cowl?

Re: cowl removal and question
Once all the screws are out it just pops off. The rubber strip stops water/vibration/rattle, thats my guess. The junkyard is your best friend when it comes to cowls lol. I had to get some plastic caps and clips for mine when I broke them taking mine off. Good luck

Re: cowl removal and question
those white parts are what the screw goes into. two of them had cracks and dont hold the screw/cowl down
what is this? the one on the right side sits really high up and doesnt let my cowl sit flush against the glass

Re: cowl removal and question
had the worst luck today. i still had my wiper arms off cause i havent gotten my parts yet and i was 40 min from home on the highway with no underpasses or anything and a huge storm just rolled in to SA while i was on the highway.
driving with no wipers in the rain is something i never plan on doing again.

the yellow piece is one of the retainers for the windshield. Removing the cowl is generally pretty risky as those white clips almost always all crumble when removing the screws. That yellow piece should not be keeping your cowl from pressing all the way down unless your windshield is coming off maybe???
