Coolant leak
My EF has a major water leak near water pump. The water pump is running fine. No leaks in timing belt area. The water pump pipe isnt leaking either. I'm thinking A BHG. but no coolant in the oil. I had a B16 twin cam engine in it with a bhg when i bought it. I did a D15 swap and D16 SI transmission. IDK what would cause major water leak near water pump. ??????

Re: Coolant leak
I had a leak under my intake near the water pump a while back. It was coming from the big coolant pipe that runs from one side to the other. This pipe has O-rings on each end, one of them went bad. But I replaced both while I had the pipe out.
This coolant pipe is also called a "water pump inlet pipe".
Dry everything off real good then have somebody start it while you observe where its coming from.
Also is this coming out of the weep hole on the water pump?

Re: Coolant leak
I did a dawn dishsoap test and its shooting at high pressure out top weep hole near water pump. but dripping fast under the water pump with engine off as i fill up radiator. Will a 2.2L raditor caused the water pump to fail?

Re: Coolant leak
Its likely your water pump is on the way out, you can read up on it here: http://www.flowkoolerwaterpumps.com/..._failures.html
The capacity of your radiator has no effect on the pump and its seals.
