Compression Check--What should it be
I just did a comp. check on my jdm B16a1 and it was 200psi exactly across the board. It does seem kinda high doesn't it? It looks like the head has been off the car and someone told me it had a gen2 intake. What is everyone's cylinder pressure?

Whoa, that IS high... are you sure you did it right? Cranked it over 5 times and all that?? If it's real though, that's DAMN good!

Yeah, thats how I did it. I know it does seem high. I guess that means that my compression has been bumped right?

just because your b16 reads 200 on the compression test dosn't mean that the actual compression ratio has been changed. your B16 is normal at 200psi. I put new rings in my B16 and the compression went from 190 to 215.

Thanks for the info......I need to work on my traction problem first anyway before any more mods. I can cruise along in first and roll up to about 5000 and nail it and the car lights em up. I have new springs and struts on order.
