code 4 help
Hey guess I finally got everything going on my car I can drive it now atleast for a little bit. It is a 91 civic with d15b engine i did the obd0 to obd1 conversion. The car starts fine idles all day I can rev it up with no problems at all. As soon as I go drive it I can get on it and it will go up to 5 grand no problem shift then try it again it will make like a back fire sound then throws code 4 and won't let me rev past 3500 rpm. Then I reset the ecu and it will be fine I can drive it around if I stay under 3500 rpm it will be fine till it gets to operating temp then will start acting up. It will sputter like it's running out of gas 2 times then it won't let me rev past 3500. I check the blue green and blue yellow wire going from the dizzy and it looks good I even tried to re connected it with no help. I got a new dizzy and tried that with no change same outcome each time. Where do I go from here?? Thanks

Re: code 4 help
This might be a stupid question I'm not 100 percent sure how to run an ohm tester:/ also where could I get a good picture that shows how the dizzy is supposed to be wired to the ecu. I have one here by evilxkid and that shows wire the blue green wire from the dizzy to c4 obd0 plug the blue yellow to c3 and the orange blue wire that I cut goes to c1 and the orange white goes to c2. But then I also have one from Jun tuning and that tells me a little differently? ?

Re: code 4 help
Ok so I just did what I thought was an ohm test I had the key in the off position when I tested it. This is on the female plug of the distributor plug. With the ohm tester on 2k I will do the top row of the plug first from left to right. 1.821 1.760 1.790 and the top right corner I got nothing. Bottom row left to right 1.076 1.079 1.276 the 3rd one seemed it was all over the place and the 4th one is empty. Now I tried it at 200 ohms and got top row nothing. Bottom row from left to right 21.8 19.1 11.8 last one is empty any help or if I did it right would be nice thanks!

Re: code 4 help
So should I test them at the ecu? I'm not even sure if I did my test right why didn't my numbers come close to what you posted? I've never done ohm tests before:/
