clutch issues
Ok I searched for 2 days and couldn't find any thing talking about the problem I'm having.
I have a 1st gen B16 with a s1 tranny & Kazz LSD brand new stock flywheel , brand new ACT street disc , brand new stock pressure plate. Car was driving perfect no issues. End up having some brake caliper problems and decide to redo all the calipers. Car now has all new calipers. When I finished the brakes and set the car down , my clutch was feeling funny.
Pedal was lose then mid way it grabed for a little then let go and went straight to the floor
It was like no resistance, no resistance, resistance, resistance, no resistance .
Just took it down the block last night but dont want to drive it to far out cause I dont want to get stuck but the gears went in good had to finesse it a bit to **** but letting out the clutch , it just popped out to fast and you cant really finesse it at that point.
I adjusted the clutch cable just left it to about 1/2 - 1/4 inch before it cant go no more by hand .
Throw out bearing was new 90 Acura Integra LS (thats the right one right ?)
Could it be that the little spring that holds the throw out bearing gave out ?
Or
Could it be that the cable stretched ??????

Re: clutch issues (BoostedEF)
Both are possible, if there is almost no resistance I would guess the throwout spring, i've have one teg and one crx (with LS) both do that, on the teg the throwbearing ear broke where the spring fits in and the crx the acutal spring broke.

Re: clutch issues (BlackLudeSi)
Yeah for some reason Im thinking it could be the ear too. Because it gets tension but when it gets pressure it lets go
Just dont really have time to drop the tranny myself plus I dont got any body to help me. I just bought a new car and dont have the $$ to pay someone to do it.
