Car bogs and runs like crap below half tank
ok guys a few of you may have seen my previous post. same problem new outlook.
Ive done some searching about this and im fairly confident it is the fuel pump the guy put in before me (he said it was the first thing he changed when trying to diagnose the problem) i read this thread something about a "sock" haha https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ight=half+tank
HOWEVER my new question to you guys is before i drop the tank and replace/check all this. could it be a fuel pressure regulator? if so how do i go about changing that or does the tank also have to be dropped? or does it even sound like fpr problem?
also any write ups or diagrams of this "fuel sock" and the way its supposed to go in would be great i found a write up on the fuel pump install but id like to visualize this fuel sock thing since people say they can go in backwards.

hatchet. i dont have any gear to test pressure but i might can acquire it if i obtain the information on how to test it. im almost 100% sure my pump or the pump sock is the culprit. i just put a few gallons in and it went back to normal. running great, rode it around for about 80 miles and like a clock as SOON as it got back to that one point (where the needle dips below the half mark) it started shuttering and cut off

um...ive had this issue. had a fuel pump installed and the car would bog and die after half tank of fuel. did the pump myself the second time and noticed they didnt install a hose clamp on the sending unit. so after the fuel was down past the top of that hose it was sucking air not fuel.

the fuel sock is the the filter attached to to fuel pump. replace both. Just buy a walbro for $100 and it comes with everything. Check your tank might be rusty. That is what was wrong with mine and I just got a new tank and it fixed everything
