Can someone tell me how to remove the hatch from my 91 EF?
Just picked up a new hatch for my car since my old one was rusting and was wondering how do I go about taking the old one off? I noticed there are some wires connected to it, are they important?

Yes, they are for the 3rd brake light and wiper if you have the rear wiper. If I remember correctly that disconnect is down close to the passenger taillight, but possibly higher.
You will need to remove the hatch shocks first, then depending on how you want to remove it, you can remove it with or without the hinges. That's up to you.

ever seen wires connected to something, but the wires turned out to be 'unimportant' and were put there strictly for cosmetic reasons?

Sometimes I wish there was some kind of IQ test or something that you had to pass before being allowed to own a vehicle or procreate.

I swear to god every kid and his brother buys a honda because they are the cheapest and easiest cars to work on. Then they come here and ask questions like do I have to change my oil? I got a flat a tire, do i need a new car?
