Default Black breather box, PVC system with AEBS manifold

OK ive just had a hell of a time with my car acting like it had an IACV problem but turns out it wasnt. During the install of my AEBS manifold I connected a hose with the pvc valve to the black oil breather box on the back of the block. If I pull the hose off the intake manifold (the AEBS has 2 or 3 spots for 3/8" hose on the back of the manifold to have clean looking vacuum system) and cap the hole off with my finger the idle is perfect, no more bouncing. My question is where are you supposed to hook the pvc hose from the black box to with the AEBS manifold? The b16 manifold had a different hook up. Whats up with this?

Not sure what the problem is. You can hook up the PCV vacuum hose on any one of those ports in back of the AEBS manifold. You sure you got the valve facing the right way? Usually the bigger end goes to the box and smaller end goes to manifold vacuum.

its needs to be routed anywhere on the manifold really.

silly question, have you tried replacing the PCV valve, its cheap to do.

well standing in front of the engine bay and looking down below the intake manifold at the breather box, I have a larger hose running from the box to a nipple on the back of the AEBS (i dont see a pvc valve in that line), and on the other opening of the breather box I see a smaller hose but cant see or feel to where its going. There is a hole on the factory and AEBS manifold from which you are supposed to run your vacuum hose up through but I just routed it in behind and up from the bottom. Should the PCV be in the larger line coming straight out of the breather box or does it matter?

Hmmm there's supposed to be a PCV between the box and the manifold. larger hose between box and bottom of pcv and smaller hose between top of pcv and manifold. You'll only use like 3 or 4 of the vacuum ports on the manifold...plug the rest. Oh also make sure the manifold is seated correctly and the gasket is sealing.

I knew it had something to do with the box
But you should be able to hook it back up just like factory on the AEBS

basically what I did was put the PVC in the hole on the breather box that the straight fitting comes straight up out of the box and ran a hose from that to the back of the manifold, it makes a funky *** whining sound and the idle is still screwed if I do that. As soon as I pull that hose of the back of the manifold and plug it with my finger the idle is beautiful. Should I just run without the PVC for a while and get a catch can?
