Re: best tires size for crx (riyakhan)
I'm running:
15x6.5 Konig Zieges
+
205/55/15 BFGoodrich KDW2s
Rubs slightly in front, granted i'm also slammed out on Neuspeed Race coils.
Great traction though.

What size tires should I get?
The proper size depends on your car, not just the wheels you are using.
For a CRX, del sol, or pre-'96 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:
13" - 175/70-13
14" - 185/60-14, 195/55-14
15" - 195/50-15
16" - 205/40-16</TD></TR></TABLE>
If your looking for the "widest" look possible, I'm pretty sure 6.5" can fit a 205, but performance wise, you'll prob be better of with a 195 tire.

205x50x15, 195s did not hold quite as well as my wider 205s. not a hugh diff but every bit helps when you have a powerful FWD car that always spins. I have no rubbing what so ever, 205x55x15s are to big a sidewall and a bigger OD compared to 205x50s. this is about as wide as you can go w/o issues.

195-50-15
keeps the car's overall balance the same, if you have a bit more power id say run 205s but if you have a fairly stock car just keep 195-50

Re: (mattcivic)
I'm running 225/50/15's, with H&R race springs and Bilstein dampers. I had to roll the fender lips, and naturally a bit of camber- about 1 degree in the back and 1.5 in front- helps. I'll still hit the fender well if I hit a really hard bump, but most of the time it's fine... the only real issue is going into a driveway or something, with the wheels turned- if I don't hit it really slow, I rub the fender lip. But needless to say, I hardly have enough power with a stock engine to even break the tires loose. Handling is outstanding. The trick is having the perfect offset on the wheels- I have about a quarter inch clearance to the trailing arm in the rear and the spindle in the front.

Are you deciding on performance, or looks? If performance, your trany's FD will dictate how big of a diameter of the tire you can go with but for looks, whatever you like...

that's what I'm sporting too. I haven't got them mounted to my wheels yet, but it seems like for a 15 inch wheel, 205/50/15 is the way to go.
BTW, my wheel is 15x7 and I have Falken tires which tend to run a little wider.

Re: (RockinthEFhatch)
I have 205 40 16's now and I wish I had went with 15'' rims and I probably will in the near future as long as I can fit the 11'' prelude rotors under 15''s after I do my big brake swap.
