B16 header clearance in '89 hatch
Hey HT, I have been trying to figure out which header gives the HIGHEST clearance in a '89 civic hatch with the B16 swap. I tried a 4-1 one piece header and took it off as soon as I put it on, because even with my car sitting just below stock ride height I only had about 1 1/2 inches of clearance Now I have an OBX 4-2-1 two piece header from a 90-91 integra and it has decent clearance. But being the genius that I am I managed to ding it up pretty good the first week I had it and now 2 years later those dings are starting to wear thin and I'm gonna need to replace it soon Before I replace it tho, I wanted to see what everyone thinks about headers. What header for what car (obx/dc/etc. & 90-91 integra/93 gsr/etc.) gives the best ground clearance? I look forward to ANY help/recommendations that all of you knowledgeable tuners out there have to offer!!!

If your not worried about perfect tuning n such then i would just pick up a cheap header and take it in and have the it shortened. That's what im going to have done. then just wrap them and nobody will every know.

Just get just about any 4-2-1 header for a Del Sol Vtec or 99-00 Civic Si. Any integra header is going hand low on your b16 because the deck height are different. (don't by an ebay header because they are "one side fit all" headers)

i think the ssr one would be the best since it is one tube right before it goes under your oil pan. i believe you would also have to get it cut and have a flange welded on if you wanted to run a cat on it. also very pricey.
