isn't there some way that they go up through your wheel well and get to the hood release cable... then disconnect your alarm... cause that's not cool... you could do something like that to move the position of the cable

I have all my cars power ran through a big *** hidden breker switch. Just flip the switch when I park it and you couldnt steal it unless you want to push it.

I have a hidden fuel pump cut off, also a hidden starter button (kind of like s2000
starter button).
Another thing I did was disconect the inner locks. kind of a pain having to use the
key to lock the door all the time, but my car has been there every morning.

i was just thinking, how do people pull the cable and open the hood? On my bike i have a cable that the housing is basically cables and you can spin the handlebars without the cable tightening up. You can also (i'm pretty sure) pull on it and it will do abolustly nothing to the brakes. Hmm... i wonder if i swapped to one of those if it'd be impossible to pop the hood like that.

Oh well, re-routing it also works.

i learned REAL quick that the extra $60/month for a personal garage at my apartments is worth it.

...woke up one day for work and i had no carbon fiber hood!

my ultimate anti theft trick.
until i got my security system installed i went to home depot and bought the DIY wireless garage light / motion sensor. i put on the driver seat facing up, so the only time it sees movment is when you are about a foot away from the car.
i put the light in my bedroom, (rewired to work with regualr outlet) and set it on my book case... i dont live in an area where my car is at high risk. its just to be safe considering you can steal anything even with the most high tech system.
low budget and severely ghetto but for 25 bucks they wont be in your car without your knowlage

that is actually a really good idea. Can you change the light bulbs? I know i saw somewhere a thing that screws into a normal light bulb socket and is like a buzzer. Supposed to be for backyards or something but could deffinatly work in this situation.

i have the best anti-theft idea of all.

Drive a ugly piece of ****. preferably with body damage. no one wants to steal my car, not even for the parts. thieves see my shitty looking ride and dont even know theres a few grand worth of swap, turbo and bolt ons under the hood. A true sleeper.

are you guys serious?

step one back infront the car with a roll back
step two hook winch to car
step three drag the bitch on
step four drive away

if you want to keep your car safe park in a garage, don't have anything that would draw any attention to your car, alarms, kill switches, dead bolts clubs whatever its all bullshit, but i'll will say the razor blade would get most people, but not stop someone from taking it
