9005 and 9006 bulb question
I keep blowing out my 9006 bulbs when I put them in my lo-beam 9005 projector lights. The regular 9005 bulbs do not fit in the new gen 2 projectors, so I mod the 9006 bulb harness to make them fit instead. Only problem is they blow really easy.... Any suggestions??

Re: 9005 and 9006 bulb question (JohnnyM)
hey johnny M
i have a tip
buy the 9005 bulb... trim the harness soo it fits the 9006 plugs.. then put the 9005 bulbs using the lower power 9006 plubs and voila you have uber long lasting bulbs because you are using less power to power the higher power bulb..
btw highbeams are 9005 low beams are 9006
you are mxing up your lights.. high beam bulbs aren't ment to be on all the time...
please don't tell me your using 9005 power plugs for 9006 bulbs

Re: 9005 and 9006 bulb question (CdTriX)
Thanks, I thought by using a higher wattage bulb they were less apt to blow but I guess I'm wrong. Thanks for clarifying...
