Re: 88 CRX BUILD
I'm hoping to get done sometime quick since I'm putting a hold on my boost build... Going all motor will be fun and my spare head will get the first go around with the Super tech valvetrain but no polish just stock port. Let me know when you get done and hopefully I'm done then so we could meet up and cruise around.

Looking forward to seeing some videos of this running! I think all motor will make you a much better driver on the track and like you said will help you learn the car way better. Boost is so much fun and is the future plan of my build as well but seems like it would make tracking the car way harder to predict.

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
FINALLY!!! some one who understands going boost without learning the handling of a car is a bad idea on the circuit.... Just because your car has 500whp doesn't mean you're fast on the track especially if you can't DRIVE that power! People don't really think about what they build. Straight line = fast car / circuit track = fast driver. It all depends what I can do with it all motor first and maybe I won't even go FI at all and just keep her all motor and run her that way.

HERE IS ANOTHER PORT JOB IM DOING. YOU CAN SEE THE EVOLUTION OF THE WORK TAKE PLACE. ITS NOT HARD TO DO AND ITS A HUGE MONEY SAVER! EVERYONE OVER THINKS THE WORK OR IS TOO AFRAID TO MESS UP. GRAB A FEW JUNK HEADS FROM THE YARD OR TRASH OF PEOPLES BLOWN MOTORS AND START ON ONE CYLINDER LIGHT WORK THEN CONTINUE EACH TIME GETTING MORE INDEPTH. REMEMBER NOT TO FORCE IT AND LET THE TOOLS DO THE WORK! DONT WORRY ABOUT THE CARDBOARD EXHAUST GASKET MOCKUP... IM A CHEAPASS WHEN IT COMES TO SMALL STUFF. IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE VIDEO I POSTED FROM THE END OF MY FIRST PAGE I RECOMMEND YOU WATCH IT

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
Hahaha. Me and my buddy were just talking about this today. He'll pay for the bench flow test to be done for payment on his head. Maybe I shoulve clarified my "PORTING"... More like polishing it up By getting rid of cast marks and not reshaping it. I do gasket match though. Most people hear the word port and think of the entire process make the ports bigger blah blah blah and finding the correct VE (volumetric efficiency) is harder than you think. What I did here was use 60 grit at about 9-12k RPM to clean up marks and blend 80 grit to valve guide area. I didn't go any further because this particular head was a factory "port" type r head so no need to clean up what's already done. Eventually I want to do more after a few more sessions. Sorry for the confusion... And BTW that first "port" picture on page one isn't mine, I was showing some canuck its ok to do you this to heads and yes air flow is the reason behind this. Are you picking up what I'm throwing down Brian?

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
I said the hell with wiring it myself and getting a rewire tuck harness haha. I got about 30 more minutes into the wiring and got pissed how it was done previously so I cut all the sensors and pitched the gagle in the trash. Maybe try and get all new wires and retry it later on.

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
Its like someone put that harness together blindfolded, drunk, and half a sleep! Five different colored wires to make one wire and being held together by twisting and electrical tape isn't ideal lol
