Default 88 civic, dpfi to mpfi, hits rev limiter at 3800 rpm?

so heres what i got, hopefully somebody can help me figure this out. i got an 88 civic LX with a 91 civic SI motor with a z6 head. the harness is LX just added the 2 wires for the dist (also form a 91 SI), and the wires for the resistor box. I got the car running today, and it idles fine, sounds good, but when i go to rev it up it sounds like its hitting the limiter at around 3800-4000 rpm. I cant figure it out. Any ideas?

thanks

2 wires for the injector goes to a3/a7
4 red/black to the resister box
2 to dizzy to c1/c2
switch tps wires

now your rev limitor is at ~3800. is there a check engine light on? is there is, must be code 4 for ckp

have you reattached c1 to b10 and c2 to b12? if not thats your problem. (i forgot that a few times ) that should fix it.

yeah, the tps wires are switched, and i just checked and sure enough its a code 4. i didnt check last night since si ecu is in an integra case and the led doenst line up with the inspection port. i was kind of thikning it was probably just on due to the lack of a fast idle thermo valve or any of the evap components. the distributo is brand new, so ill check and make sure my wireing is correct at the ecu. dont have an etm on hand so ill check that tommorow.

thanks for the help.

got it all figured out, had all the wires needed and in the right place in the ecu. just didnt have it right at the connector to the dizzy. got it all rearranged and it fired up and ran fine. took it around the block at my house and its pretty quick with p29 pistons and a z6 head. i have some track time on thursday so ill post some video than.
