4 wire 02 help
I'm trying to wire in my o2 sensor in a obd1 conversion (Bosch 4wire) I know that connector d pin 14 is primary heated o2 and connector a pin 6 is primary o2 sensor heater control , but my 02 sensors has 2 black wires and 2 white wires. .. Can someone tell me what goes where please ive been trying to figure this out for like a week

two white wires are always the heater. doesn't matter which way they go, it's like a light bulb... you switch the wires on a light bulb, it still lights up just the same.
the other wires aren't both black, one should be black and one grey. grey is the signal ground and black is the signal. if they are both black like you claim, stick the O2 sensor into a propane fire (soldering torch or a camping stove or your gas stove if you have one), measure with a volt meter across the two black wires and you should have close to 1V. If you read negative 1V on your meter, switch the leads from the meter to the opposite wires. Now you have +1V. The red lead on your meter will be your positive signal wire going to the ECU and the other wire is the signal ground.
LMK if you need more help.

Re: 4 wire 02 help
You were correct I have 2 white one black and one grey
if I follow you correctly then the two white should go to connector A pin 6 and conector D pin 14 order does not matter ??
what pins do the grey and black go to ?

A16 orange/black - heater control (white wire)
C18 white or white/red - O2 sensor signal (+) (black wire)
C22 green/white - sensor ground (grey wire)
PGMFI relay yellow/black wire - heater positive (+) (white wire)

Re: 4 wire 02 help
don't get boned by the online ECU pinouts people put together. Honda doesn't number their connectors up and down like those images show, it doesn't go:
1 3 5 ...
2 4 6 ...
instead, the ACTUAL numbering is
01 02 03 ...
14 15 16 ...
so wherever you read A6, the ACTUAL correct pin is A16. that's why I put together the wire colors for you, so you can positively identify the right wiring. People need to learn to read wiring diagrams.

Re: 4 wire 02 help
It's refusing to read my o2 ( possibly have a bad 02) does the o2 ground need to go to the ecu or can I ground it in the bay ? Cause that pin on my ecu is being used and I don't really have a decent way to tie into the wire

Re: 4 wire 02 help
check the O2 in a propane flame like I said in my earlier post
look at the wiring diagram I posted. that C22 pin is the ground for many other sensors. you can tap into any green/white wire from the TPS, ECTS, IAT sensors. Same ground circuit. Sensor ground is not the same as chassis ground for the purposes of engine control.

1,14,22. Sometimes 7 or 9 but not consistent , I fixed the rich issue and found I have a vacume leak on my throttlebody shaft seal and fitv will address those tmrw , I have a bouncing idle untill the car warms up then it levels out ,

Re: 4 wire 02 help
Ok I have fixed the vacume leak , the car will warm up and idle fine sometimes it will hunt , but will eventually settle around 1k -800 , now the issues are as follows , if rev the car and let off the rpm will drop to like 400 then work itssf back up to 800. /1k ish , sometimes it will flat out die and you got to give it a touch of throttle to get it to start again

Re: 4 wire 02 help
Have you cleaned out the FITV and made sure your coolant is topped up and bled out? Check the FAQ for idle issues, there is lots in there I'm sure. What kind of condition is the ignition system in? I once had the idle drop randomly and want to stall (or actually stall), and it was just a worn out rotor and distributor cap. Trip to the dealer for OEM parts and it was all back to normal.
