2 ECT sensors on a B16A?
I'm getting a Code 6 on my ecu which is the ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature). I replaced the sensor and I'm still getting Code 6. It is also limiting my fuel cutoff at about 7k rpm and I have a Spoon chip which raises it at 8,200rpm. My question is, is there another sensor on the back of the block or somewhere?

You replaced the one on the passenger side of the engine? If I got that far I'd be looking for breaks in the connection or the wire. You can also test the sensor when it's hot by measuring the resistance through the sensor. As it heats up, resistance should drop. I can't remember the #s offhand but it should in the thousands when it's cold and either in the tens or hundreds when it's warm.

Re: 2 ECT sensors on a B16A? (raene)
b16's and just like basically every other engine ever produced has ONE ect. you may be thinking of the sending gauge unit or the thermo switch for the fan...
your an idiot if you think alls you have to do when you throw a code is replace the sensor being affected.
as mentioned before go through the wiring and do voltage drops....various resistance tests.....and above all check your grounds....
its simple things that people turn into the biggest problems.....
if you have no idea what im talking about take it somewhere before you screw your car up by back probing the computer(a solid state) and frying everything.
