1991 Honda Civic EF Build!!!!!! :D
1991 honda civic hatchback ef
Please excuse my English :D and please dont hate cuz i have only few knowledge about cars. and im also new here in honda-tech.. It helped me alot..
Hi! This is my very first car! I'm 17 years old and no job. lol. I got this car for $250 with 150k miles on the body (almost no rust) and 50k miles on JDM D15B (non vtec). I got this for baby sittin. lol. Car was almost gutted bcuz the previous owner (lets call him uncle two) was gonna build it a drag car. It just have the Tokico Struts and Tein Springs.
These are the list i have done or bought so far. $1300 (without the car, and not including the hoses, clamps, oil, and any other small things)
DPFI to MPFI.. bought the harness for $150.00
OBD0 distributor $25.00
PM6 ECU $40.00 (please tell me if im doin the right thing)
CRX Dashboard $45.00
CRX Shift Linkage $45.00
CRX Center Console $45.00
5'' Autometer Tachometer $20.00 (yes, 20.00 not sure if its working. lol)
New half size radiator $95.00
No name intake (ebay) $30.00
Spoon Sports Shifter+ **** (ebay) $15.00
CRX Radiator+ fan $40.00
Spec-D Tuning Full Catback Exhaust (ebay) $190.00
No name Headers+ test pipe (ebay) $70.00
2'' Autometer Air/Fuel Ratio gauge $30.00
2'' Autometer Oil pressure Gauge $30.00
I just bought the 5 speed transmission today because we dropped the engine and I connected the shift linkage with short shifter. i tried 1st,2nd,3rd,4th, and thats it. I was shocked that it didnt go to 5th gear. I asked my uncle why its not shifting 5th gear. he said the engine came from Japan and its only 4 speed because of the fuel economy and etc. So, ima install it tom....
So, the car is not running right not..
And its been in the garage from my uncle two for almost 4 years. and in my uncle one garage for 6 months. my uncle one used to have it before he traded it to my uncle two. I am very sure its been sitting more than 3 years on his backyard.
Questions:
1. Im a doing the right thing for the JDM D15B from DPFI to MPFI, distributor and PM6 ECU?
2. How many horsepower does it have right now? I posted a thread here on honda-tech and the guy said hes guessing about 92 hp. But I have searched everywhere. like on Wikipedia they said its D15B 103 hp. But i read somewhere it has 72 which is the D15B2. not sure
3. How many horsepower do you think im getting w/ those upgrades?
4. for the last one, How can i post some pictures? lol..
I will always keep this updated post pictures if can, thanks!
