Hey guys, In my 90 Honda civic, I found these wires that are connected to the A/C Harness. Does anyone have any idea what these wires are for? I want to cut them but at the same time I dont. Thanks 🙏

I looked at a couple wiring diagrams for the 1989 and didn't see any wht/grn or wht/red circuits in that area. I don't think that is OE - notice the harness looks overstuffed in that area. Whatever it is, it looks poorly done. I'm guessing aftermarket lights or possibly a fan? 30A is a lot. Do you see any corresponding connections in the fuse box there or to the battery terminal?

The connections go to neither. The harness it is connect to go towards the dash, But i didnt see any of those wires there. It may be a light thinking about it now, but other than that, i dont see where that would be connected too. And Thanks for the help by the way too, i dont really know much about eletrical stuff 😂

There should be two sets for the auto seatbelts if your car has them.

On the Civics with automatic shoulder seat belts, there is a Seat Belt Fuse Holder with two fuses that are for power to a Wht/Red wire and a Wht/Grn wire.

On your car, that is gone and someone just used an aftermarket fuse blade holder.

Those power wires feed the automatic seat belt control unit located inside the car, under the dash.

So that orange the connects both of them together goes to the positive or where does that go?

I am pretty sure each wire needs to be on a 30 amp fuse and those wires go direct to positive terminal.

The original wht/red wire wht/grn wires went to two separate 30A fuses, respectively, in the Honda fuse holder that attached to the positive battery terminal.

Whoever added that orange wire only used one 30A fuse.

So I have to run a 30A fuse to each wire? Or can I just run that single one.

Both wires originally were ran on a 30 amp fuse. I dont think one fuse would support both loads.
