Would this impact wrench work on the axel nut as well as the crank pulley bolt?
It's a new 1/2" impact wrench from Snap On with 700lbs of torque and 1200 blows per minute.
I've heard stories where 1/2" drives weren't enough and a 3/4" impact was needed. The thing is, this thing is about the same as far as power goes to the Snap On 3/4" impact wrench but a few hundred dollars cheaper.
Anyone have any idea if this specs on this particular impact wrench would be worthy of removing the crank pulley bolt as well as the axel nut?

i have snapons 1/2in drive electric impact and it takes axle nuts off with ease
ive never even tried to take off a crank pully with it though.
for that i use the ingersoll titanium impact

Re: (wannabe_si)
i have a husky 1/2 impact and it works good enough to pull off the crank pulley bolt. just make sure you have your pressure regulator set correctly. if it doesnt take it off, wd-40 and some more time with the impact on the bolt will take it off

Re: (eg cookiemonster)
i tried taking off my dads axel nut on his 94 accord with a electric 500 ft lb impact gun n it didnt even budge i had to bring it to the shop to have them loosen it. it all depends on the condition of the threads and bolt some will come off some wont..it should work fine if the bolts are in good condition
