Winshield wipers wont stop going even when turned off!!
I finally got tired of my wipers not working in my 94 eg coupe so i tore out some of the dash and found that they wernt even plugged in, so i plugged them in and they continously go even in the off postion.

Ok so i might be able to help. My friend had a similar problem. First off does it seem like its stuck in intermitent (sp) mode? If so you might have to take the whole steering wheel and everything apart to get the inside of the switch and there's a little white piece inside there that might be off the track. You have to take the switch apart to see it.

hold the arm on the windshield wiper switch UP...if it stops then your wiper arm is worn out and is falling down onto the fast wiper mode.
i've never had to pull my steering wheel to get to my wiper switch.

wipers arnt going into park mode,
i would bet its the switch, but never rule out the motor,
idk were anydigrams are, but find one for the motor, and make sure the motor is getting what its supposed to when the switch is off,
if your wiper motor is in fact getting the correct voltage then its not your switch but the motors internals, if its only getting a certain voltage no matter what the switch is on then its the switch,
but make sure of what voltage everythings getting,
you have to know what it needs to determine whats missing, once you find that you find the problem,
im havin problems with spark in my car, but cant the diagrams i need, lol maybe i need to quit being broke, and buy a manuel, or steal it or something lol jk, or get a job to buy it lol...

There is a switch inside the wiper motor that signals to the control unit that the wipers are at the bottom of the winshield and shuts them off. I have replaced numerous wiper motors for this symptom.

but also if they were only one speed at any point on the switch could it possibly be the switch giving the wrong voltage?

I would say take them off and drive just fast enough for the water to fly off when it rains.
all kidding aside though, there is a product that they sell at autozone, but i dont remember what its called. you use it on your windows each time you wash your car and it works really well. rain-x maybe?
