When do you know its time for a Valve Adjustment?
I think i need a valve adjustment but im not sure. This morning on my way to work i was driving normal, not noticing a thing. Then my CD changed songs and during that pause i heard a nasty raddle come from my engine. I found out the raddle comes everything i go to 2500RPM. I opened the hood and heard it coming from the engine. I redlined it once to see if its coming any other times. And it hits at 5000rpm. Does this mean i need a valve adjustment? Its a B18C, if so does anyone have the specs for a valve adjustment? Thanks

about how many miles on the engine before it started making noise do you know. it's recommended to do a valve adjustment every 30,000 miles. but if it is doing this noise at like you said 2500 rpm it might be a couple of different things i had a civic they other day that had a tapping noise at 3000 rpm thought it was the valves but checked some other stuff and it was the rods. i am a honda mechanic so i see this type of stuff every once in a while. i would adjust the valves and go from there drive it and see what's up. make sure the valves are cold before you adjust them you cannot adjust valves when they are hot.

The sound comes on at 2500RPM exact and at 5100rpm exact. Like if i go one up or one down then its gone. What could else could that be?

How do i check if its leaking? Just listen for sound from the head and headers?

I got the same exact problem. I'm thinking its one of my valves being bent due to a bad sparkplug. Not really sure untill after i replace my head.
