What's the best way to do a compression test?
I have a B20B that i'm trying to sell and want to do a compression test before I sell it. I have a compression test kit and tried doing it the other night by threading the gauge into the spark plug holes and turning the crank by hand. The cylinders came out to 60 across the board, which seems really low, but i'm not 100% sure i'm doing this correctly. Am I doing it the best way? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You should use the starter and turn it over, but if its already out of the car you can do a leak down test!

you need a air compressor and a leak down test kit...
if you had an impact gun you could use the compression tester....
The UNSAFE way to do it, would be to hook up a starter to the flywheel and hook up + and - on a car battery but I would not suggest it.
