what would cause my front passenger side tire to sit inwards...
i do have coil overs but it's not the problem because no other tire sits like this, the
car was in an accident and that particular area of the car (front passenger side) was damaged
pretty bad....i replaced the axle, upper control arm, strut and ball joint, but the tires sits inward
and in the spring i'm lowering it some, so i do not wanna have this issue when i drop
the car.......what could cause that, tie rod maybe?
ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
p.s it's a 94 civic ex

Mine does the same on my '00 coupe.. wheel sits about an inch further back than the drivers one. I think the guy before me drove into a curb or something and fcked up the suspension or frame a bit... got no idea though. let me know if you figure out what it is so i can do the same repair on mine.. lol

how about where the LCA connects to the subframe? One or the other could be tweaked from the acccident.

hmm, i checked the LCA but i couldn't notice anything abnormal...the top part of the wheel
is what's leaning in so the would be something up top bent or tweaked right?

I had the same problem on my old 90 accord the whole passenger side suspension was all tweaked
Ended up just getting the suspension pulled and it was all good

Have you double checked your front upper control arm and ball joint? they could be failing! Did you use oem parts, they installed properly?

Re: what would cause my front passenger side tire to sit inwards...
thanks! and yes the upper control arm and ball joint are new, installed correctly i'm not
sure a guy i kno replaced them for me
and i myself replaced the lower ball joint with a tool from autozone, but i tore the boot lol
i'm sure that's not my problem i just wanted to mention it's new also.
things i have NOT replaced since accident....
-tie rods/tie rod ends
-lower control arm
-and everything else suspension wise in that area lol i haven't mentioned.
oh! there is an annoying squeaking sound comin from that wheel area too, bushing maybe?

Re: what would cause my front passenger side tire to sit inwards...
After looking carefully at the diagram I concluded that the damage is probably in the area where the upper contril arm mounts to the body of the car. This area was probably pushed in as a result of the accident. Your best bet is going to a bodyshop and have the check it for you.

If the part of the LCA that goes through bushing # 11 in this photo is bent inward (toward the center of the car), it will bring the bottom of your tire outward and forward, thus making it look like the top of the tire is tipping inward. It may not appear to be bent to the eye. You will need to take some measurements and compare them to the other side.

Sounds like something is bent. Tie rods would not cause this. If all uppers are new obviously check the lowers. If that doesn't solve it, you have frame issues.
