well whats the ngk part number for a stock one?

a typical NGK number is like a BR7e for example a colder plug would be a BR6E.

so whatever number it calls for stock, just go down a number but keep the letters the same

the original plug is ZFR5F-11 so it would be a zfr6f-11. but bkr6 would work

I have 2477 Iridium plugs in the car right now,

Autozone says the regular NGK's V-Power for a Y8 are 2262 so I should pickup a set of 2263 Plugs then?

Says that the ZFR5F-11's are meant for a miata?

2262's and ZFR5F-11's are the same plug...

Just ask for ZFR6F-11's, if you want to go one heat range colder.

awsome, thank you. I suspect since my compression is in the neighborhood of 10.8:1, I may run better with a slightly colder plug than the normal Y8 Plug, any risks of running to cold of a plug?

If they're too cold, they will foul. If it's bad enough, you'll just have to replace them.

Honestly, 10.8:1 isn't really that high. I would try stock plugs and see how they work.

I'm using those 2477's right now which are intended for the Y8, just trying to trouble shoot my ignition issue
