What is HX trim??
I was headed to work this morning and saw a guy driving a Red Civic Coupe with Honda alloys and a stock spoiler. Looked to be a '98-00 Civic the trim on the trunk lid said HX? What is this trim level never heard of it before?

the hx model is a really good model.. its like the vx model of the eg's but for the ek. it has vtec-e, and pw,pl, ac,ps. it is light weight. it also has the light weight 14inch alloys that alot of people want..

I'm guessing this order CX,DX,LX, HX, Ex, Si

Well depends on how you look at it. IT was the most fuel efficint but not the most luxorious like the SI or EX. It is kinda out there by itself.

Is it just it's light weight and CVT trany that make it the MOST fuel efficent? Or is the car set-up dif. as well?

Also the engine is a VTEC-E engine (D16y5 I think)

It had 115hsp but I think the gearing on it is long so it feels slower than a Y7, but thats just a guess

i own one...has a y5 tranny and very long gears...most people get it, swap the head and tranny and intake manifold to y8 and still get good *** gas mileage..not that bad of a car

Re: (HondaEJ7)
So teh MANUAL 5-speed in teh Y5's has taller gears? That is what gives it better MPG? Can I put that Y5 tranny in my girls '99 EX to get lowwer highway rpm's?
