Re: WHAT ECU IS BEST FOR D15B ENGINE? (brockscivic)
will the p28 run fine in the car? or will it run rich or idle funky or anything? I am getting a d15b soon and a greddy turbo kit and it comes with a crome pro tuned p28 and i wanted to know if that will work or not or if i will run into problems

cuz i was going to swap in a d15b and i was told i can just use my z6 wiring harness and just change out my o2 sensor for the 4 wire and just use my soon to be crome pro p28 but i just want to make sure it works at full potential before i start shelling out money on my car again

X2 IF you get the VTEC version of the D15B, there are three versions that I know of, possibly more.

Is this a trick question??
your Z6 harness has a 4-wire O2 sensor all ready.
Your Z6 runs off the P28 from the factory.
Once chipped the P28 can run any engine from a D15B to a H22, it's all on the map programmed into it.

idk anything about ecus or conversions or basemaps or datalogging or any of that crap, all i know is that the d15b is a jdm z6 and i was told by a guy to run my z6 harness on the d15b and just swap out the o2 sensors.

The d15b isn't a jdm z6. the z6 is a 1.6, and the jdm d15b is 1.5 obviously. They did make a 1.5 vtec that shares alot of attributes with the z6... But tecnically if you were going to mak e acomparison like that, you should just call it a zc. which is a jdm 1.6 vtec sohc... but also a 1.6 non vtec dohc. Damn jdm. And you could also use a po6 but it doesn't have vtec. Does your 1.5 have vtec?
