I thought it was easier to drop a B18 into a EG over a D16. Just my opinion though. A 94-95 Integra Swap will drop right into your car.

Do you not have to change your mounts when swapping a B series motor into your car?
I'm pretty sure swapping a D16 into a D16 bay would be much easier than swapping any other type of engine in.

Re: what is an easy swap for my eg
actually the only mount you have to change on a b series is the back L mount.. I have a D15 mount on the top of my tranny and a D16 post mount.... but like batallic said, you have to run new linkages and axles.. I would swap a D16 in.. you already have the tranny, axles, linkages, and such... just wire vtec up and run a p28...

Thought so.
Yeah, but whats the point of swapping a D back in.
The truth is if your gonna pull your engine out and do all the work, you may as well drop in something better.
D15 and D16 aren't much different, and there isn't going to be a noticeable change in power.
I don't know if I read your post right but it sounds you plan to buy a swapped ex or si with 3k? Or buy and do the swap yourself? I'm sorry, most likely not gonna happen.

Re: what is an easy swap for my eg
you can drop a k20 or a h22 but theres alot of cutting and welding envolved...id go w a b18..b16s are cheeper but once u get a b16 youll want a b18...but thats jusy my opion

i like the GSR 5th as well but the LS 5th will give you a lil better mpg in normal highway cruising and u still have GSR 1-4 for the acceleration. Just my opinion ofcourse, doesnt mean any1 has to agree!

Re: what is an easy swap for my eg
H22 and K20 are HIGHLY involved swaps, and require a ton of modification, not to mention $500 mounts.
I want to swap my engine just as bad as you, but I know when I am not able.
Buying a B16/B18 + installation could easily be 3000 alone.
Of course there are always "better deals" somewhere; but you never know if they are trustworthy sources.
I would turbo your D16, they are a decently stout motor and can handle up to about 10 psi(?) Completely stock, which can easily trounce a B-series swap.
Than, if you blow it, you only lost a $500 dollar engine, sell your turbo get some extra money, and swap that bad boy out for something else.
Not that it would blow, just a possibility
