weather stripping targa help leaks

Default weather stripping targa help leaks

the driver side of my targa top has a piece of weather stripping (black rubber) that was tore off. should 84$ at the dealership for that piece. can i just go to autozone or pepboys and get like some sort of rubber weather siliccon to patch it up?

tore off? Weird. Search for how people stop their del sols from leaking, and you'll find your answer. Off the top of my head, I think you have to go factory. If so, http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

if you plan on getting new seals, get the 95-97 seals. they were recalled in 94, and supposivedly fixed in 95.

i'd replace a torn seal, but you can keep it if you want. just silicone/lube your seals.

my mistake... it's the front winshield portion of the car. yes, it's kinda thinner than the otherside causing it to leak. it's like 100$ for that part.

You're going to have to get the seals from Honda or a place that sells OEM Honda parts. There's no aftermarket equivalent for the targa and roof seals for the Del Sol.

I concur with jL iLLuZiOnz 9. The '95+ seals were redesigned due to the leaking issues the '93-'94 seals had. The newer seals are direct fit.
