VTEC solenoids

Default VTEC solenoids

are all vtec solenoids the same like for all engines?

B and D are swapable, but i dont recommend it. My friend tried it once on his D15B. He put on a B16 solenoid and it kept throwing a check engine light and wouldnt let him rev out all the way.

If you keep you engine full of fresh oil then you can try cutting the screen out on the stock solenoid. Maybe even drill out a hole or two to increase flow.

What purpose does this serve and why are you recommending this to someone?
