vtec solenoid

Default vtec solenoid

i have a b16a2 and i need a new vtec solenoid , my question is will a sohc vtec solenoid work or does it have to be bseries ?

it'll work, but the vtec oil pressure switch will be pointing towards the fromt of the car.

the solenoid only controls the oil passage to activate vtec nothing else..


there are no differences between the two, the pressure switch is also the same. vtec engagement is entirely dependent upon outside electronic control via the ecu and/or any piggybacks you might have.

o and one more thing , my boy also has an ls im . would i get any better numbers with that or should i stay with the stock untill i get a sunk2 or something

LS won't fit on a b16 without modifications

they work just fine but b16 and h22 have bigger ports than gsr4, sohc vtec and the b16A3
