98 DX d16y7 motor in 99 EX coupe IAC engine code
Has anyone here done this type of swap. Please do not add to my thread if you are not at the top of your game!!!!
I did this swap for my boy but want to narrow down how to get rid of the IAC check engine code so that he can pass inspection. This has turned out to be fun.
OBD2B vtec Harness of course with OBD2A non vtec motor. I am running a OBD2B DX ECU It runs like stock but the IAC code is on.
Wiring on this ECU calls for I believe 2 wires but motor is set up 3. I have some Ideals already but don't want to try them just yet.

Yes, the 96-00 Vtec motors use the 2 wire and the non-vtec use the 3 wire. So, you're going backwards from what this image has. I'm in the middle of following this swapping a vtec into non vtec so you just need to do it in reverse order (see the bottom of the image for iacv info)
Hope this helps.
