hey, i was looking for a viper alarm for my 5 spd. civic, but most vipers have a remote starter and they are a paint in the *** for manual cars, so i was looking and found the VIPER 690 XV. But my other question is can you buy a 2 way viper pager alarm with the remote starter and not use the remote started part? or should i just go with the VIPER 690 XV, that does not come with the remote starter right?

Yup, just don't connect the remote start feature if you like everything else about the alarm.

viper 690 is the same as the 790, without remote start = cheaper. why buy the 790 if youre not gonna hook up the remote start? if you ever take the 690 off and buy an automatic, you can always add remote start to it later, so save some $$$$ now
