It would be helpful if you told us WHAT Civic you have, and WHAT Civic the engine came out of. Assuming the donor car is not an SI, you don't need to replace transmissions - the one in your car will bolt to the one from the donor car.

whats wrong with the engine/trans in your car? if you dont need to swap the trans, might as well just use your original if you can.

If you are going to drop in the obd2 engine and trans you will need the obd1 dizzy injectors and alternator. Get the obd1 ecu chipped. Run the stock harness. Everything should be bolt in. The trans might have more sensors then the stock one but im not sure never seen an auto civic tranny, if so wire them up and you should be good.

The OBD1 auto civic ecu will not control the remaining sensors that are on the OBD2 civic auto transmission. I have yet to have a successful OBD2-1 CIVIC automatic conversion that has worked for tuning. This is only for D-series civics that I speak of. The OBD1 automatic B16 ecu is a different story.

As far as OBD2 to OBD1 automatic Integras, preludes.....different story. I have been able to convert to OBD1 with harnesses that I have built and run an external TCU to control the auto tranny. I have been able to tune cars using Hondata and Crome with minimal issues. All of those issues are shifting relating and are consistant so that tuning is not all over the place.

It is more complicated than this.
