Not always ... B18C doesn't have it, B18B does I believe, not sure about other B series or D series, though. I had to have the hole in my coolant outlet drilled and tapped in order to put the bleeder bolt in. That is BY FAR the easiest way to do it.

That would be the drain. For draining the radiator.

That would be the best way. However draining the coolant, and using a tool made by/called Air Lift would be best. It sucks the air out of the system and creates a vacuum, then it sucks fresh coolant back in.

ok. hum.... if it is where the top radiator hose is then wouldn't i have to turn the car on and let the coolant come out of the bleeder? so then SCHLIT is wrong then right? fgraciano1980 how did you bleed it on your car?

Re: how do you bleed coolant? (cyang08)
Alright, My Z6 has one..Its easy.
Let your car get warm, turn the screw to let the air out, and as soon as coolant starts to come out then close the screw. Done

Re: how do you bleed coolant? (Brian Hinson)
i was wondering... do ALL years have this? i've noticed most 96+ cars do not have a bleeder valve. My shop teacher says it is because the radiator is configured so that the air travels to the top of the cap instead of that screw

My y8 doesn't have one. If you don't have one use this method.
