there are huge debates about stroking motors because you change the rod/stroke ratio. that is why most people bore and sleeve rather than stroke for more displacement

Re: Toda B16A stroker kit, any good? (built562)
from previous searching, heres some info.....
The stroke is increased from 77.4mm to 87.2mm.
Compression ratio with a Honda factory head gasket is 11.0:1 and rod ratio is 1.54
(1820cc / 11.0:1 / B16A / 81.5 mm)
(1797cc / 11.0:1 / B16A / 81.0 mm)
Stroking out an engine is not really a good idea as it puts more side load on the cylinders. What happens is as the piston goes up and down there is a point in the middle where it pushes to the side “piston side loading” with a longer stroke that push is harder.
Short rods = high sideload
Long rods – low sideload
PROS
More HP/torque “longer strokes give good torque”
More overall engine potential about “7% more potential”
CONS
Side loading
Lower redline
Shorter engine life “side loading is very bad on high RPM engines”
If you are going to stroke the engine you should re-sleeve it with some better sleeves as stronger after market sleeves will handle the side load better
Now if you are going to re-sleeve the engine then forget the stroker kit and go with a new bore of 84mm on the new sleeves that will give to 1.8 liters just like the stroker kit.
Or you can really go all out and re-sleeve with a 84mm bore with the stroker kit and have 2 liters

Re: Toda B16A stroker kit, any good? (JDAMC)
Ummm ive seen some strokers go for 92mm stroke..but thats allmotor 13comp..race..I bought a sleeved (aftermarket since hondas dont really have sleeved motors) b16..and its bore to 84.5mm the head is also dome matched and ported..I was just wondering thanks for info..ill stick with boring...and Machine shops can resleeve engines..Its just putting reinforced cylinder walls instead of you stock ones..

TODA MAKES GREAT PRODUCTS.....will give you same numbers as a b18c engine
SPOON STROKER KIT IS for the b16B only.....all you are doing is putting a 1.8 crank and rods in the block

if these are your own words.....DO NOT POST WRONG INFO!!!!!!!!!
THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE INFO YOU HAVE POSTED!!!
b16b and b18c blocks are identical!!!!!
so i guess honda would know what they are doing by stroking or destroking an engine right!!! yeah...that's what i thougth...they do!!!

Anything Toda makes is great. You know, if you really want to have power, you might as well go H. That's right, I said it.
