Is there any way to slow rust destruction?
Well I noticed that my 94 EJ Civic is rusting on the driver's side at the front-bottom of the wheel well and at the top of the wheel arch. It's just starting to break through the paint. Is there anything I can do for it to slow it down or stop it for a while before I can afford to have the whole area cut out and replaced? Would sanding the hell out of it and re-primering the area and trying to blend it back in help?
Any advice you could give is appreciated.
Thanks!,

Just start scraping it away until the metal is shiny, sand it, prime it, and paint it?

Yep. Or if it has rusted through put some more metal on there and the prime/paint. I would use naval jelly to dissolve the rust.

Naval jelly, what is that? That sounds like something I picked out of my belly button.

These products are supposed to be pretty good...the por is actually something Ive seen used on cars. It will continue to harden over time...the more moisture in the air the better it works.
